ISO 9001:2000

At RiserTec we take the quality of our work very seriously which is why (despite our size) we are ISO 9001: 2000 certified by UKAS Certifier ISOQAR. The certification was achieved in May 2007 although our Quality Management System has been incrementally developed over the 4 years we have been operating.

The Quality Management System is constantly developing and a QMS specialist is employed to ensure our system and procedures are kept up to date. Implementation is through an intranet web based system so all engineers and managers have instant access to the latest versions of all of our standard procedures.

NAFEMS

We are a member of the National Agency for Finite Element Methods and Standards, NAFEMS. This is a vendor neutral, not-for-profit membership association of more than 800 companies from all over the world. Members range from major corporations such as Boeing through mid-sized organizations such as JCB, to small-scale engineering consultants. The objective of the organisation is “To promote the safe and reliable use of finite element and related technology”

R6 User

RiserTec is a British Energy R6 code member and user. The R6 code has been found to be a very quick and efficient way of implementing a detailed fracture assessment.

DEEPSTAR

RiserTec was one of the companies involved in the Lake Seneca benchmarking work completed as part of the Deepstar 7402 Empirical Benchmarking Study. The work was based on test results provided by Deepstar for unstraked and 17.5D fully straked risers.
