RiserTec Launch Website
Following months of research, development and testing, RiserTec proudly announce the launch of this, our new, enhanced website. The website has been designed to enhance the end users experience, educate and inform visitors on RiserTec services and Technology.
Mid Water Arch Design
RiserTec's experience with the design and analysis of Flexible Riser Systems has allowed it to develop design tools to rapidly optimise the Mid Water Arches associated with Lazy-S systems. The design process has been simplified through RiserTec's RT5500 package which performs pressure vessel design against PD 5500. As well as performing all required code checks, the program has an optimisation feature which finds a minimum weight design accounting for all stiffener sizing and spacing parameters. The program has been benchmarked against a database of existing mid-water arch buoyancy tank designs in the North Sea and found to produce weight estimates within 5% of the actual fabricated weights. From the detailed sheet design drawings can be created for bid submissions and the checks contained within the sheet provide a perfect start point for the detailed design process.
Additionally working with Polyurethane Products Limited we are developing a modularised solid buoyancy Mid Water Arch system which can be scaled to suit the application net buoyancy requirement and which has the following design benefits:-
- Naturally compartmentalised so no dome ends or bulkheads
- Simple structure fabrication
- Very efficient dead weight to net buoyancy ratio minimises offshore lift and hydrodynamic loading The initial concept design will be completed early 2008 for more details contact us
