RiserTec Launch Website
Following months of research, development and testing, RiserTec proudly announce the launch of this, our new, enhanced website. The website has been designed to enhance the end users experience, educate and inform visitors on RiserTec services and Technology.
Pipeline Specialist Engineering
RiserTec has been involved in specialist areas of pipeline work where clients have drawn on RiserTec's specialist knowledge of VIV and detailed FEA and where some substantial thought and software development work has been required.
The main areas of engineering activity are in the following areas:
- Span and On-bottom roughness of flowlines
- Upheaval buckling in relation to crossing design
- Buckling and ‘walking’ of Pipelines
- 2D-3D analysis of full flowlines in relation to spanning
- Pipe-in-Pipe and bundle modelling
- 3D spool VIV (See VIV Analysis Section)
RiserTec has developed a detailed methodology for the treatment of Pipeline Spanning which has been approved by DnV and used successfully to mitigate the requirement for span correction and prediction of buckling due to OBR on several projects. The analysis procedures have been automated and real-time survey data can be incorporated into the analysis on a very rapid turn-around basis so that the contractor can deal with the problem in real-time from the installation vessel. The modelling and methodology have been thoroughly benchmarked against in-field measurements which has given us great confidence in our modelling approach.
