RiserTec Launch Website
Following months of research, development and testing, RiserTec proudly announce the launch of this, our new, enhanced website. The website has been designed to enhance the end users experience, educate and inform visitors on RiserTec services and Technology.
VIV Analysis
For deepwater spools a considerable development programme has been focused on the development of a full 3D VIV assessment tool (RT_VIV) based on a full power-balanced methodology similar to that invoked in SHEAR7.
The assessment tool is coupled to ABAQUS (from which the modal curvatures are extracted) and can thus be used for complex 3D spool geometry. In addition to complex geometry RT_VIV also deals with multi-mode response and can be used to provide a fatigue assessment to standard codes such as API or DnV. With the coupled mode and full 3D capability this assessment tool is currently unique and could be customised for clients if interested.
